The Brighton Half Marathon is the initial major half marathon of 2012 and perfectly suited as a training for all the upcoming marathons. There is a new route mostly along the seafront, received a lot of praise and positive feedback from veterans. Go check out the new website and registration is now open for the 2012. Partners confirmed include Brooks, Sweatshop, VisitBrighton, Juice 107.2 FM, The Argus, Studio57 and Brighton & Hove City Council. Catherine Anderson, who owns and runs the Oriental is also the current Chair of the Brighton and Hove Hotels Association (BHHA) promoting quality and responsible accommodation providers in this great City. As part of her work, she has teamed up the BHHA with the Brighthelm Community Centre on North Road in Brighton. BHHA members offer their time to help Brighthelm clear up their wonderful community garden and make it a better space for the pre school group there to play. Catherine hopes its the start of a long relationship with the Centre that is promoting Green values and hopes to become a hub for information on sustainable building and ecofriendly projects in Brighton as well as caring for all members of the community.

Omid Djalili is back on tour with his brand new comedy show.
He was the winner of the Best Actor Award for his lead performance in The Infidel at the Turin Film Festival (won the previous year by Bill Murray). The Infidel also picked up a Loaded LAFTA award for Funniest film and Omid was short listed for Peter Sellers Award at the London Evening Standard British Film Awards. Age limit for this show is 16+.
