Soulful Singing !

Sat 10 March 11am – 1pm

mahasukha2Sing! No experience required! What’s required is a five quid ticket to pay (which is very fair). You will have the chance to experience a 2 whole hours of African sacred singing led by Mahasukha, a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order, with an Advanced Diploma in Music and an immensely contagious passion for harmony singing and percussionist. He is originally from the UK and his way of bringing people together in singing has gained a lot of popularity over the years. He will inspire everyone to bring out their best socially and introspectively. Click here for more.

Brighton has formonty-the-norfolk-westie-cross1 many years been a paradise for dog owners looking for a vacation with their best friends.  With so many dog owners living in the City its easy to find pubs like our local the Lion and Lobster, gastro pubs like the Ginger Dog, chic cafes like Metro Deco and fashion houses like Doggy Fashion or Bloomingtails that pamper to pooches.  The Oriental has several dog friendly rooms and we have a welcoming information sheet for dog owners on arrival for where to take your dog with you including where you can go on the beach for walks and the best open spaces nearby including Hove Lawns and the lovely St Ann’s Well Gardens.  Flatteringly, someone else has noticed and put us and Brighton in the top 20 places to go on vacation with your dog!  Check out our review.  So if you love your pooch, give the Oriental boutique guesthouse a ring on 01273 205050 and make a booking so we ensure you get in the dog friendly rooms before anyone else or check our website.

Room 5 – 31/01/12

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my stay, I came for peace and relaxation and got it! The live music on Thursday  is excellent, as is the service and welcome. What made it for me was that the room I stayed in, was the room I saw a photo of in the Brighton guide that made me book the hotel in first place.

“Relaxed, friendly atmosphere and staff in an ideal locale”
We stayed for one night in The Oriental. We were on the top floor which afforded real privacy, waking up to the sound of the sea. Read less

Likes: Personalities of the staff, light in the room and very comfy bed and a good shower. Art for sale on the walls, relaxed atmosphere and friendliness toward a mix of guests. Breakfast!

Dislikes: Nothing!
