White Night !

British Summer Time ends: clocks go back :'(

whiteBut…before even thinking of getting ready to change the clocks, make the most of the extra hours of darkness and enjoy the White Night celebration! The one-night-only Festival will consist of a series of venues offering art galleries organised by curators, authors, artists and more. It will surely be a special night captained by art.

Halloween Fireworks!

halloween-fireworksBe there! Don’t be scared! It will be a full-on night to remember. Of course there will be the unmissable fancy dress competition, followed by fairground rides, and food and drink outlets. The venue will be Brighton Preston Park and it is expected to be filled with games, special guests, live shows and a grand finale of firework display and live music. A super event not to be underestimated! Gates open at 5.30pm with entertainment from 6pm and live music on stage from 7.30pm. The fireworks will follow at around 8.15pm.

Lions Fireworks

The Times recommended it as one of the top ten firework displays in the UK and it is currently the biggest single display in the whole Sussex! There will be loads of food and drink stands throughout the field.

Lots of people are to be expected. The ground will open its gates at 6pm.

Brighton Evacuation

botdblackAccording to PPC breaking news a virus that makes people totally idiot has spread in the city of Brighton and consequentially  the whole town has been evacuated and it’s now empty. A massive gathering is expected to hit Victoria Garden next to the Royal Pavillion at around 3pm.  Police forces will be present to contain the horde of walking zombies / idiots, and make sure that no one will get eaten, bitten, gnawed or just chewed.  It is quite a thing, so don’t forget your camera if you come down and a working weapon just in case! World Sacred Music Festival 2011

This year the book under the radar will be Andrea Levy’s new Man Booker-shortlisted novel The Long Song. The reading will take place in the newly refurbished TOM, a wonderful performance/workshop/ exhibition space in the heart of Brighton and Hove’s Brunswick town.
