Heritage Open Days

heritage

Founded in 1994 the event is a celebration to England’s culture and architecture. It’s an event which now involves several countries in Europe. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in visiting all sort of old buildings that are usually closed to the public. The event is split in four, Open House London, Doors Open Days in Scotland, Open Doors Days in Wales and European Heritage Days in Northern Ireland and it’s entirely organised by volunteers. Last year more than 1 million visitors walked into factories, temples, churches, industrial sites, castles, windmills, town halls and more. It’s a once-a-year chance to find out more about our hidden architectural treasures! More details at
