The Oriental work hard to give guests a relaxed stay. We recently had a review via email which we thought we would share.
Dog-friendly boutique hotel with people-friendly staff near the sea
”I give it high marks for cleanliness, charm, comfort, and central but quiet location. Andrew in particular is a superb host. During two bank holidays when the Oriental was fully-booked, he served breakfast with aplomb; however, he could have used an extra pair of hands. The Oriental has a colorful lobby/bar area and high-ceilinged, well-decorated rooms.”

Latest Music Bar, May 17, £7.00

Another favourite of ours here at The Oriental.
Wallis Bird is a singer/songwriter from Ireland. She writes a mixture of fun, foot-tapping songs and beautiful honest ballads. With her unique guitar playing (upside-down and left handed) and her powerful and raw voice , we couldn’t recommend this enough.
She is a great performer and will have you laughing, singing and no doubt shedding a tear too !
Check out her website to see videos or listen to her music.
Looking for accommodation in Brighton ? We still have vacancies so please give us a call at The Oriental for more information on our Boutique.

One of the longest running kite festivals will be returning to Stammer Park, Brighton May 28-29. As you can imagine there’s going to be lots of unique (and somewhat bizarre) kites being flown as people from all over the region come to take part in the weekend.
There will also be displays from professional kite flyers and makers.
A fun day from all the family – AND IT’S FREE ! Check out more info on their website.

The Boat Project is the winning commition for the London 2012 Cultural Olympaid. The creators ‘Lone Twins’ have come up with the idea of building a 30ft sea-facing vessel made from bits of wood donated by people of Sussex.
It’s such a unique, fun and sentimental idea for people across the reigion.
So if you would like to contribute , take a piece of wood to Jubilee Sqaure , Brighton between midday and 5pm, 8 May. They are especially asking for something special , eg. something with a story, memory and that’s personal to you.
Be a part of this amazing project.
