Takepart is a community sport and physical activity event which is slowly becoming one of the largest in the country. A full on two weeks of outdoor activities, taster sessions, stalls and more for either kids or adults, young and not-so-young, anyone is welcome and have fun and get active as part of a healthy lifestyle in Brighton & Hove.
A NEW festival is heading to Brighton this summer, hitting Brighton City Airport over the weekend of June 6 & 7 2015. The festival will run throughout the day, with the night’s entertainment ending at 1am on the Saturday, and midnight on the Sunday. SJM have confirmed the festival will offer shuttle transfers back to University campuses in Brighton to those with a valid ticket. Click here for tickets.

Unionjag is happy to announce its’ first Brighton Run. Alhough this is the 17th annual event to be held, Union Jag are very excited to be taking part. On sunday the some 300+ Jaguars will take to the roads of Kent and East Sussex and head for the fabulous Brighton.The morning starts with breakfast allowing time to view all the cars as they arrive and depart. Then off into the Garden of England to take a fabulous scenic route.

WhaleFest is a non-profit event which raises funds for the World Cetacean Alliance (WCA). The WCA is the only global partnership of organisations and individuals working to protect whales and dolphins. This year passions will be stirred by live performances, films, talks, comedy, exhibitions, music and inspiring activities for all ages. Campaigning once more to see whales and dolphins released from tanks to live wild and free, WhaleFest will once again attract people from all over the world as we anticipate an audience of 12,000+ from over 40 countries.

The band has confirmed a UK headline tour in February 2015, with nine new shows added to the previously announced London O2 Arena and Leeds First Direct Arena dates. A new single from Kaiser Chiefs has been sent to radio in the UK, “My Life” is the third single from the band’s Number 1 album Education, Education, Education & War released earlier this year via Fiction Records.

It’s the best way to discover where we came from, deal with where we are and debate where we might go in the future. The festival is for all ages, but the ones we are particularly doing this for are 12-14 year-olds. The aim of this event is to resuscitate that spirit of discovery and curiosity back into them by implementing a few alternative ways of learning rather than the heavy old books.
