Now a firm fixture in the calendar, August bank holiday will see the Mod Scene return to its spiritual home. Last year’s party will be hard to eclipse but we will have a jolly good go. Ten years ago NUT’s started the Brighton Mod/60s weekender in the fabulous Komedia venue a short walk from the lanes. A really good buzz has been building so check out the full program here. Returning for it’s second year Brighton Thai Festival is the perfect place to experience the taste of Thailand this summer. It will be packed with entertainment like Thai boxing for children, Ladyboy show, Thai beer garden and food stalls, Thai massage and kid’s play area.

Brighton’s Big Screen is returning this year with a new mega cool movie line-up jam packed with blockbuster, classic and family movies. The outdoor cinema event will return to Brighton beachfront from the 14th August – 13th September 2015 with its biggest and best movie line-up to date. All daytime showings are FREE to attend with showings from 5pm onwards from £3 per person.

Mermaids, mystic sea creatures and seafaring folk of all kinds will once again be invading the shores of Brighton & Hove seafront this July, to take part in a colourful cavalcade in celebration of our seas and sea life. The aim of the parade is to help raise awareness of marine conservation issues and this year the event is in collaboration with Brighton based organisation, WhaleFest. All profit made on the day will be donated to the World Cetacean Alliance. Click here for more details.

Event for al the family to enjoy. kite displays from people all over the country with a range of size, colour and designs. In the afternoon there is an opportunity for children to make there own kites in out free workshop.
The fourth Brunswick Town Art Fair is a popular community event set in the Regency splendour of Hove’s Brunswick Square Gardens. The fair features local artists exhibiting paintings, prints, photographs, cards, ceramics, sculpture and jewellery focusing on high quality but affordable work which is all for sale. The event is free and refreshments are available.
Takepart is a community sport and physical activity event which is slowly becoming one of the largest in the country. A full on two weeks of outdoor activities, taster sessions, stalls and more for either kids or adults, young and not-so-young, anyone is welcome and have fun and get active as part of a healthy lifestyle in Brighton & Hove.
