Brighton Bikers Nights

Brighton Bikers’ Nights are back again this month with a vengeance. This summer ride out destination for spacecycles will take place on Madeira Drive opposite the Colonnade Cafes on August 21st from 7-9.30pm. You’ll get a chance to mingle with the teams from the Brighton Motorcycle Action Group, Brightona, SERV Sussex, and the Air Ambulance in addition to our very own SSRP riders. Be ready for a space ride too, you never know.


Thai Festival Brighton

Get a taste of this interesting nation at Thai Festival Brighton in Preston Park. Soak up the atmosphere of the mice festival season during a day filled with Thai food, lady boy shows, living cooking demonstrations, traditional massages, and eating competitions. Mod Weekender

Now a firm fixture in the calendar, August bank holiday will see the Mod Scene return to its spiritual home. Last year’s party will be hard to eclipse but we will have a jolly good go.Ten years ago NUT’s started the Brighton Mod/60s weekender in the fabulous Komedia venue a short walk from the lanes. Brunswick Festival

Brunswick Square - 16/08/2014 – 17/08/2014 festival has reached its 33rd anniversary thank to the passionate and hard working local residents of Hove. It is expected to gather people by the thousands again this year as it’s the longest running event in the metropolis so far. Lots of cool activities to join in, live music and plenty of outdoors events will be on the list as well as an awesome market area with brik and brac, home goods and lot more. The event includes “Rural Day” featuring a dog show, arts and crafts, and conservation stalls (St. Anne’s Well Gardens 1pm – 6pm).

Pride in Brighton and Hove this year, Brightons celebration of its gay community, is taking place in Preston Park, same as last year. It still promises to be a fantastic week of events engaging the whole town with the Parade and Park being big features. It will be Pride’s 22th Anniversary! More info here.


Pride Rainbow Run 2014

Brighton Pride’s fun run, community sports Day and picnic is coming this summer. Lots are expected to troll along to Preston Park and to join a variety of camp courses. The inaugural 5k Pride Rainbow Run takes place on Sunday 27th July on Preston Park. Forget 118 118, this megatastic fun run will be full of fun and cam affrotatic kitch glamour. Croquet on the Lawn

Big Fun Run

Big Fun director , Neil Kilgour said: “If you’d love to get more active in 2014 then this is a great place to start.” The run will take place in Hove Park, a beautiful massive 40 acres of tree and flowers. The run is no Olympics, as no time will be taken, it just aims to make people gathering together in an easy and funny way of exercising in these beautiful natural surroundings. More than 7,000 people took part in the nationwide events last year raising more than £200,000 for charity. Click there for more details! Here!


The Grand Brighton Abseil Challenge

Action for Children is organising an unique event which will give to some the opportunity of abseiling down the iconic Grand Hotel in Brighton. Anyone over 16 can take part. The side that will be used is obviously the front side overlooking the sea. No experience is necessary as a full training will be given. Here’s a few more detail on the official website.


A Hard Day’s Night with performance by Brighton’s THE VOX BEATLES

It’s the 50th anniversary of Hard Day’s Night. If you’re into The Beatles this is a great chance to see “them” live performing a bunch of their great tunes. The concert is actually supporting the film directed by Richard Lester starring The Beatles in 1964. So there is plenty to look forward to at this event. Please go and don’t complain.
